How to host a custom match

Set up the lobby here, then join it from Fortnite with your custom key.

  1. Sign in with Discord

Use Sign in at the top of the page. Your Discord account keeps your sessions and queue position together.

  2. Choose a supported mode

Open Host. Pick the game mode, Build or Zero Build, and your team size. Unavailable combinations cannot be selected.

  3. Set the region and key

Use the same matchmaking region as your players. Leave subregion on Auto unless you need a preference. Enter a key with 3 to 16 letters or numbers, or generate an eight-character key.

  4. Request hosting

Submit your settings and keep the page open. If every hosting account is in use, your request waits in the queue. Your hosting timer starts when an account is allocated.

  5. Get everyone into the queue

Wait for the website to show that your lobby is ready. Share the key, mode, and region. Each player enters that key in Fortnite and queues for the same mode and region.

  6. Start the match

When everyone has queued, press Start game on the website. The button is available only when the custom session is ready to start. Standard hosting windows are four minutes; VIP windows are six minutes.
